BlueAir Among First to Earn Energy Star's New Air Purifier Label

BlueAir is among the first to earn the ENERGY STAR designation for all three air purifiers. All models exceed ENERGY STAR's minimum energy efficiency guidelines of 2.0 dust CADR to watt ratio (see www.energystar.gov).

"BlueAir has been a true industry leader in contributing to the development of the ENERGY STAR room air cleaner specifications and successful launch of ENERGY STAR qualified room air cleaners on the market," said Kathleen Hogan, Director of EPA's Climate Protection Partnerships Division.

As of December 1, only five other manufacturers have air purifiers that earned the ENERGY STAR designation through a qualification program that started five months ago.

The ENERGY STAR program is sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy and is based on increased consumer interest in air purifiers.
